Quick answer: Ottawa happy hour most often runs 2 to 5 PM or 3 to 6 PM on weekdays, and locals call the after-work version "5 to 7" (5 à 7). Beer or highballs start at $5 at JOEY Rideau and JOEY Lansdowne, and most downtown deals sit at $6 to $7. This guide covers 21 venues, with ByWard Market and downtown the biggest group.

Last verified October 31, 2026. Where a venue's own site and our records differ, or a venue publishes no times or prices, we say so, and you should call ahead. We re-check the list monthly.

According to TodaysTab's checks on October 31, 2026, we track 230 active venues in the Ottawa region and 67 of them have a current special that meets our rules (confidence of 0.7 or higher, re-checked within 45 days, with a stated day or time). What's not on this list

Competing lists conflict with each other on prices and hours. 613today's happy hour page, dated April 14, 2026, names Sidedoor, The Gilmour, Montgomery Scotch Lounge and Aiāna Restaurant Collective, and we have no confirmed special for any of them. The apt613 "best 5 à 7" page was published November 1, 2016 and carries no update date, so we did not use its prices. CRAFT Beer Market on Bank Street is in our records, but only with low-confidence data, so we leave it out.

The Shore Club (11 Colonel By Drive) and Social Restaurant + Lounge (537 Sussex Drive) both advertise a happy hour, but the Shore Club's site gives no days or times and our price source is a bar menu dated February 2025, and Social's site did not show its Social Hour when we checked. Metropolitain Brasserie (700 Sussex Drive) lists $1 oysters on Thursdays but no happy hour on its site. Al's Steakhouse (327 Elgin Street) lists a Monday to Friday 3 to 6 PM happy hour in our records, but the menu behind it is labelled Summer 2024. Ask the venue before you go. Gatineau, across the river in Quebec, is a separate TodaysTab region and is not covered here.
