Sunshine Coast Happy Hours 2026: 10 Spots With Deals

Quick answer: Most Sunshine Coast happy hours run 2 to 5 PM or 3 to 5 PM, with drinks from $4 to $6 and discounted plates mostly under $15. Sechelt has the most spots, 5 of the 10 on this list, followed by Gibsons with 3. Egmont and Powell River have one each. All figures are as of October 31, 2026.

Last verified November 2, 2026. Where a venue's own site and our records differ, or a venue publishes no times or prices, we say so, and you should call ahead. We re-check the list monthly.

The Sunshine Coast is not one town. Statistics Canada's 2021 census counted 32,170 people in the Sunshine Coast Regional District (Gibsons, Sechelt and the communities between and beyond), and the district has no bridge to the mainland. BC Ferries lists the Horseshoe Bay to Langdale crossing at about 40 minutes, and every guest and every keg arrives that way. According to TodaysTab's checks on October 31, 2026, 23 coast venues have a current, usable special in our records and 10 of them appear below. The lowest price in our records is $4, a Tuesday beer and wine at the Sechelt Legion, followed by Gramma's Landing Lager at $4.80; neither price appears on the venue's own site. Four of the 10 list a 2 to 5 PM window, the most common. According to TodaysTab's records, eight of the 10 list a Sunday deal, so call to confirm. Only one venue in our records, Coastal Cookery in Powell River, lists a late-night happy hour, and its site does not mention it.

Powell River is a separate community north of the rest of the coast and is not connected to it by road. To drive from Sechelt to Powell River you take Highway 101 to Earls Cove, then the Earls Cove to Saltery Bay ferry, which BC Ferries lists at about 50 minutes, then drive about 34 km to Powell River. Plan the trip as a full day, not an evening out.

Sechelt: Wharf Avenue and Porpoise Bay

Sechelt has the most deals. Four of its five spots (the Legion, Batch 44, The Lighthouse Pub and Twenty Two Taphouse) sit within a few blocks of Wharf Avenue, Teredo Street and Inlet Avenue. The fifth, The Breeze, is at the TELUS Marina on Porpoise Bay, so plan a short drive or taxi to it.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 140 (5546 Inlet Ave) deals with Monday to Friday, 3 to 6 PM. According to TodaysTab's October check, beer and wine are $5 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and a Tuesday "super happy hour" is $4. Food at the same hours is $7: five wings, mini poutine, mini truffle parmesan fries, mini yam fries, mini loaded veg or two spring rolls. The Legion's site shows a happy hour image but no readable times or prices, and its bar closes at 7 PM on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, so call 604-885-2526 to confirm, including whether non-members are welcome that day.

Batch 44 Brewery & Kitchen (5559 Wharf Ave) deals with Tuesday to Sunday, 2 to 5 PM, a window its own site confirms. According to TodaysTab's October check, a 16 oz B44 beer is $4.50, a 6 oz glass of house red or white is $5.50 and a house highball is $5. The site posts no prices, so confirm at the bar. Monday is closed.

The Lighthouse Pub (5764 Wharf Avenue) deals with daily happy hour from 2 to 5 PM. According to TodaysTab's October check, a Lighthouse Lager with a 12 oz sleeve is $6, and 6 oz glasses of Naked Grape Pinot Grigio or Shiraz are $6. The pub's site lists hours (11 AM to 10 PM Sunday to Thursday, to midnight Friday and Saturday) but no happy hour, so call ahead. We hold two records for this pub and a third for Buccaneers, a separate restaurant in the same building, and name the pub only once.

The Breeze Restaurant, Suites & Event Venue (5570 Saltgrass Lane) deals with happy hour from 3 to 5 PM, and its site shows it open Wednesday to Sunday, so that is the practical window. According to TodaysTab's October check of its menu, cans of Phillips are $5, a 16 oz Persephone Pilsner is $6, 5 oz house wine or prosecco is $6, Coastal Classic cocktails are $12 and iOta non-alcoholic beer is $4. Bites run from $7.95 for olives to $22.95 for steak frites. The site gives conflicting notes on Sunday evenings, so call 604.989.2793.

Twenty Two Taphouse (5770 Teredo St) deals with 22% off selected happy hour food from 2 to 5 PM, dine-in only, and 22% off featured daily drink specials all day, both stated on its own site. It has 22 rotating taps and is open until 9:30 PM Sunday to Thursday and 10 PM Friday and Saturday.

Gibsons: Landing and upper town

Gibsons Landing is the waterfront village around Marine Drive and Gower Point Road, about 5 km from the Langdale ferry terminal. Upper Gibsons runs along Gibsons Way.

Gramma's Pub (412 Marine Drive) deals with a daily happy hour from 3 to 5 PM, which its site confirms. According to TodaysTab's October check, Landing Lager is $4.80 (the pub's Instagram says $5, so expect either), house wine is $1.50 off and a 6 oz Aperol spritz is $9. Food is $10 for zucchini or cheese sticks and dirty tots, $11 for bacon-wrapped scallops and $12 for three mini beef wellingtons. Daily features run $20 to $21, such as Monday fish and chips and Tuesday halibut tacos. Friday after noon is half-price wings and dry ribs plus $2 off jugs. Winter hours are 11 AM to 11 PM on weekdays.

The Station Tapas and Wine (259 Gower Point Rd) deals with happy hour from 4 to 5:30 PM, Tuesday to Saturday, matching its site, which shows it closed Sunday and Monday. Its menu is an image, so we have no prices. Call 604-989-3077.

The 101 Brewhouse + Distillery (1009 Gibsons Way) deals with all-day Sunday happy hour on rotating taps, according to TodaysTab's October check. Its site shows Sunday hours of 12 to 8 PM and does not mention the deal or any prices, so call to confirm.

Egmont: the north end

Egmont is about 90 km up Highway 101 from the Langdale ferry terminal, about 7 km from the Earls Cove terminal, and is the last stop before the Powell River ferry.

Backeddy Pub (16660 Backeddy Road) deals with a Sunday 2-for-1 on beer-battered rockfish and chips, dine-in only, according to TodaysTab's October check. No price or time is posted. This is a seasonal venue: its site lists the pub open Thursday to Sunday, 12 to 8 PM, in November and December, and closed from December 21 until February 4. Check before driving up.

Powell River: across Jervis Inlet

Powell River's downtown sits on Marine Avenue, and it is the only community in this guide that needs a second ferry.

Coastal Cookery (4553 Marine Ave) deals with happy hour from 2 to 5 PM, listed as Monday to Friday on the BC Ale Trail and as daily in TodaysTab's October check. The restaurant's site links a happy hour menu but states no days, so call 604-485-5568. TodaysTab's October check also lists a late happy hour Sunday to Thursday from 8:30 PM, which the site does not mention. Prices in our records, not on the site: truffle fries and gyoza $9, sushi tacos $12, poutine $13, ahi tuna stack $21. Drinks are a 15 oz signature brew or craft lager $5.50, hard iced tea $6, house wine $8.50 for 5 oz, cocktails $8 to $11.

What's not on this list

We hold current records for 13 more coast venues that we left out, for these reasons. Shift Kitchen & Bar in Sechelt has day-by-day drink deals in our records, but its website shows no specials or hours and we could not confirm it is currently trading. Blue Ocean Bar & Grill, The Lagoon Restaurant and The Seasider Bistro have only low-confidence records. Lunitas Mexican Eatery in Gibsons has a $5 nibbles record for Saturday and Sunday 3 to 5 PM, but we could not confirm it against current hours, so we left it out. Inlets Restaurant in Egmont has a lounge menu in our data, but it is a lodge restaurant that appears to close for part of the year, so we could not confirm it. Banditry Cider in Gibsons has a weekend 12 to 2 PM discount in our records, but directories give conflicting hours. The Shed at Bricker Cider in Sechelt has a weekday 2 to 5 PM menu in our records, but directory hours show Friday to Sunday only. Ace's Clubhouse in Madeira Park lists a 3 to 5 PM happy hour from summer posts only, and we found no current confirmation. Joe's Cabin in Gibsons has a record we could not match to a live listing. Pepe's Chophouse, Game On Sports Bar and Stillhead Distillery appear under this region in our data but are in Squamish, Merritt and Duncan, so they are excluded.
